The three things I've learned in this class are:

• The importance of technology in supporting the supply chain.Technology now allows managers the ability to manage all aspects of the supply chain real-time and allows for visibility to all of the components of product until the product reaches the consumer.This has allowed organizations to reduce their overhead storage costs and respond to market needs more readily.I have also gained appreciation as a consumerbecause this technology is what allows me to order groceries in hours and receivea vast amount of products from Amazon within 2 days.
• The importance of managing quality in the supply chain.Since every point of the supply chain is now traceable, it is important that firms ensure their products meet environmental and humane standards in their production and distribution.Again, as a consumer is important that I understand that organizations have this knowledge at their finger tips and should be held accountable for the complete production and distribution of their products.
• Lastly, my takeaway is the importance of relationship management in all business practices.In order to be successfulprofessionally in any industry, one must effectively manage relationships both within an organization and outside of an organization.These relationships provide leverage in negotiations and access to additional key knowledge that is imperative to success.This is something that I progress in my career and seek to develop and foster good working relationships.
