The report should describe your procedures (what you did) your findings, what you found, why you chose your topic and method (why is your method appropriate to the data you analyzed). You should include enough information to be able to tell exactly what you did.

You need to create an analysis with either a regression model, time series model, or simulation.

There are 3 parts to the assignment, turning in your report (this assignment link), posting your presentation, and completing the survey to choose your 3 favorite presentations.

The subject matter of your analysis is completely up to you:

• You can choose something from the industry you work in or want to work in.
• An accounting or finance topic is acceptable
• A topic involving a favorite hobby or sport is good

My preference is that the topic be something that really interests you. Your passion should control your choice of topic.

The particular question you are trying to answer should dictate the type of analysis. Are you looking at many variables (maybe regression is best), how a measurement changes over time (time series analysis), or how the distribution of outcomes should influence a decision (simulation).
