Three jet-skis in a 300-kilometre handicap race leave at two hour intervals. Jet-ski 1 leaves first and has an average speed of 25 kilometres per hour for the entire race. Jet-ski 2 leaves two hours later and has an average speed of 30 kilometres per hour for the entire race. Jet-ski 3 leaves last, two hours after jet-ski 2 and has an average speed of 40 kilometres per hour for the entire race.

(a)Sketch a graph to show each jet-ski's journey on the one set of axes.

(b)Determine who wins the race.

(c)Check your findings algebraically and describe what happened to each jet-ski during the course of the race.
