1 Classmate Question: Transnational corporations have an extraordinary political impact on national and international governments. With this impact, they commit some serious crimes such as human rights infringement, money laundering, corporate corruption, and human trafficking, etc. Also, with rapid industrialization and urbanization, they influence our earth's environment. Corporate crime is a form of organizational deviance, which is not just committed by a single person; instead, many people are involved. The criminal justice system needs to be reformed to combat these crimes, but that's a complicated process. The various sanctions proposed in recent years against corporate crimes have to be evaluated in detail. The attorneys must decide on a possible method of reformation of the criminal justice system by reviewing various proposals and ideas. And then finally, a law should be enforced to govern these transnational corporations against committing corporate crimes strictly.

2 Classmate Question:

Large corporations take advantage of the lack of proper regulations in third-world countries. These cooperations can make their products at a lower price because labor laws are not strict. They are also able to dump toxic waste and not worry about the repercussions from the government. Working conditions by the company are also not regulated because it does not have to be, which cuts back on their cost as well. These factors, bribery, tax evasions, human rights violations, are also violated because companies simply can due to the lack of regulations and corruption (Friedrichs, D. O. 2009, pg 62).

Combating this type of crime is tricky due to the bribery involved. International laws could make sure companies aren't exploiting countries, but the problem with this, not all governments would agree. If they were to agree, there would be those who will accept money to "look the other way". Punishment in the US needs to be harsh for those caught committing corporate crime, even if those crimes are not happening on US soil.
