Porter's competitive forces model was created by Michael E. Porter of Harvard Business School in 1979. It is an outline for the market analysis and business strategy development. The model states that competition is driven by the five forces. Organisations must be ahead of their competitors and consider all the factors outlined in the model. However, information systems also can be deployed to manage these factors in the organisation with access to resources. By doing this, the organisation manages those resources efficiently and effectively and reaches the business purpose. Explain all the five forces outlined in this model with an illustration.
