Predictive vs$.$ Adaptive Project Approaches

This activity delves into the pros and cons of the Predictive and Adaptive project approaches, including their commonalities. In Learning Activity $1,$ we distinguished between Predictive, Adaptive, and Hybrid project approaches. Now, students are expected to delve deeper into the advantages and disadvantages of the Predictive and Adaptive project approaches.

The Adaptive project approach originated as a response to the need for a better way of developing software. Although the Adaptive project approach has expanded beyond software development, it does not seem to challenge non$-$software related projects.

Following a lecture covering this topic and more, an activity will be conducted to gather feedback that will demonstrate students comprehension of the topic, which will be debated in a presentation session.

Adaptive project falls into the family of advanced technology tagged emerging technology. Why must an organization decide to use a predictive approach to execute their project over the adaptive approach? As a newly hired project manager, the PMO called your attention to say that you are expected to maximize the work not done in your project $-$ what does that mean to you?
