As a system analyst at a newly opened Community College you are asked to develop a library system for the college. You have identified several external entities, the processes and the data flow for the library system. Apart from that, it is also important to have several files for the data storage purpose. The external entities involved in the library system are the publisher, the supplier and the borrower comprising of students and staff at the community college. For the publisher, every time that a newly published book is published, a complete advertisement about the book will be sent to the library and the community college will order the book through the library from an appointed distributor. The distributor will send the book ordered together with the Acceptance Note to the recipient, which is the library. For the borrower, they can order the book if the book they request for is still not available or is being borrowed by another individual by means of filling in the order card, or specifically filling in the serial number of the book also complete information on the book. After the book is available at the library, the borrower will be notified and he or she can borrow the book, under the condition that they are the members of the library by sending detailed information about themselves. The library system comprises of several processes such as Book Search, cataloguing, Borrower Registerer, Borrower Registration and Books Lent. For the process of borrowing or ordering, all books borrowed or ordered will be stored in the borrowing file. However, prior to ordering, the individual must have his or her community college library membership confirmed.
