While there are multiple measure of success in value-based care, an important measure is the number of days a patient spends hospitalized. This measure has a high correlation to the goal of having patients lead healthier lives. An important aspect of any medical practice is attracting and retaining members. As more Americans become Medicare eligible, the market for value-based healthcare is expected to grow. Candidates are asked to analyze and provide recommendations for: • How to reduce the number of hospitalizations and hospital sick days in a value-based healthcare model • How to attract and retain members in a value-based healthcare model Candidates will present their analysis and recommendations during the panel interview. Presentation Timeline Candidates will have approximately 2-weeks to complete the assignment, before giving their presentation during their panel interview. The PowerPoint presentation must be submitted, via email, to the recruiter two business days before the scheduled interview. Assignment Instructions 1. Candidates may use any resources they choose to assist in their analysis and recommendations. Candidates do not need to cite their sources in their presentation. 2. Analyze (1) the reasons that lead to increased hospital sick days in a value-based healthcare model (2) reasons that Medicare-eligible Americans are reluctant to join or disenroll from a value-based healthcare practice. 3.
