A) Indicate whether the two functions are equal. If the two functions are not equal, then give an element of the domain on which the two functions have different values.

f: ZZ, where f(x) =x2

g: ZZ, where g(x) =|x|2

b) Both functions are equal. Suppose x= 3. If, 3 squared is 9, and the absolute value of 3 squared is also 9, then this is considered equal for the plot on the number line for both equations would be on the same spot.

Suppose x=-1, and y= 1.

f: ZZZ, where f(x, y) =| x + y |

g: ZZZ, where g(x, y) =|x|+|y|

Since the second equation does not equal 0, the equations are not equal.
