Question: Problem 2 ( 5 0 pts ) : Tributary areas / loads / slabs . ( a ) ( 3 0 pts ) Calculate loads

Problem 2(50 pts): Tributary areas/loads/slabs.
(a)(30 pts) Calculate loads for all the beams shown below (B1-B10) given the
floorplan and the fact that a uniform area load of 35 psf is applied across all
areas. Use the criterion of L1L2> or 1.5 to characterize the slabs below
(ratio of longer over shorter side). Use 45 to distribute the load for 2-way
slabs. Draw the beams and the loads (uniform, point etc.) on each one of them
along with their laod value and direction. Make sure you add all the necessary
lengths to each beam (follow the example posted on Canvas to present your
work)
(b)(20 pts) What is the load (point load) for columns Cl and C 5(each answer
worth 10 points)? You can calculate them either by using information from
questions (a) or by the "faster" method we learned in class (influence area).
