Your inspiratory lung capacity $($ILC$)$ is defined as the total amount of air that you can breathe out

of your lungs starting from the end of a normal breath, that is$,$ after exhaling a normal amount.

There are two factors that affect one's inspiratory lung capacity: tidal volume $(V_T)$ and inspiratory

reserve volume $($IRV$).$ Tidal volume is the amount of air that you breathe in with a normal, non$-$

forced breath. Inspiratory reserve volume is the amount of air that you can forcefully breathe in

after this normal inhalation. Your inspiratory reserve volume is simply the sum of these

quantities:

ILC$=$IRV$+V_T$

Medical professionals measure IRV and $V_T$ using a technique called spirometry, where the patient

breathes in normally or forcefully through a machine and the change in volume is measured.

A group of doctors collected spirometry data from a total of $1000$ patients, and they need your

MATLAB skills to help sort through their data. The file $"$HW$10\_$Spirometry$\_$Data"

contains the variables $"$T$\_$volumes" and $"$IR$\_$volumes" which contain the tidal volumes and

inspiratory reserve volumes, respectively, for each patient. Your code should consist of a script

and a function.

Call your function to find ILC for each patient, mean ILC, and number of patients above
