Problem 2 (compute using Chi Square program on Moodle page and turn in printout)

While walking across the LSUA campus I have noticed many students using ear "buds" or headphones to listen to their smart phones or computers. After making this observation I want to know: do males and females use these listening aids differently. Your task is to observe the behavior of individuals (on campus, in the mall, at Walmart, wherever you can) using listening devices and test to see if males and females differ in the use of listening devices. There are 3 ways of using the listening devices I want you to observe: Ear "Buds" in both ears, Ear "Bud" in only one ear, and headphones.

Record your data using the table below. You need to observe 30 individuals 15 male and 15 female for this experiment. You will then use the Excel program I place on the top section of the Moodle page to analyze your data. Turn in a copy of your Excel sheet and your results. In your experiment is there a significant difference in how males and females use listening devices?
