a$)$ Compute the support reactions in terms of the length $L$ and the concentrated load, $P,$ or the distributed load, $w,$ as appropriate.

b$)$ Compute the shear force and bending moment at the points indicated along the length of the member. Leave the expressions in terms of the length $L$ and the concentrated load, $P,$ or the distributed load, $w,$ as appropriate.

c$)$ If $P=5$ kips, $w=2\frac{k}{f}t$ and $L=20ft,$ draw the shear force and bending moment diagrams along the length of the member.
