Problem 3(20 pts) Op-Amp Circuits
You are to design a battery tester using comparator circuits. The input will be the value from a 9 V battery. You are to use two comparator circuits - one to detect if the voltage is less than 8.5 volts, and another to detect if the value is below 8.0 V . For each comparator, if the voltage is above that value, then a green LED will be lit. If it is not, then a red LED will be lit.
So, for example if Vbatt=8.8V, then both comparators show green.
If Vbatt=8.3V, then Comparator 1= Red, Comparator 2= Green
If Vbatt=7.8V, then both comparators show Red.
Assume the diodes need 2 V to light and can take a maximum of 25 mA of current. The opamps will use +-15V supplies and will have maxmin outputs of +-12V.
