Statement of the problem

Using the data on genetic differences across a set of five taxa, $\backslash (\backslash \{\backslash$mathrm$\{$H$\},\backslash$mathrm$\{$C$\},\backslash$mathrm$\{$G$\},\backslash$mathrm$\{$O$\},\backslash$mathrm$\{$A$\}\backslash \}\backslash )$ as shown in the table of Figure $(10\mathrm{.}50),$ construct an un$-$rooted tree formulating the lengths of branches from the common ancestral node. The answer hint is indicated in Figure $(10\mathrm{.}51).$
