Question:
The sun will eventually run out of nuclear fuel, go nova, and collapse into a dense object known as a white dwarf, an object around 7000km in radius. The Earth & inner planets will get destroyed in the process. Suppose that the Sun does not lose any mass when it goes nova and there are no net forces acting (outside of the Sun's own gravity).
1) How fast is the white dwarf spinning at the end of the process?
2) Will the angular speed of the white dwarf be higher or lower if the Sun lost some mass?
