Produce a cost budget

Include the Scope statement and WBS of project $1$

Ensure that the WBS is decomposed to the task level.

a$)$ Identify cost types $($elements$)$ and get agreement from financial and$/$or project management authorities

b$)$ Agree on unit costs to be used for cost estimating with the relevant authority

c$)$ Determine the resource requirements for work elements in terms of type, quantity and unit cost, and document them in the agreed format. Document a cost budget in the agreed format and within agreed time frames

d$)$ Explain, motivate and document the underlying assumptions of the estimate in the agreed format

e$)$ Obtain approval for the budget from higher authority in accordance with established standards and procedures

f$)$ Ensure that cost budget figures are balanced and correct in accordance with standard accounting practices
