By accessing blogs and social media, job seekers can learn more about a company's culture and day-to-day activities. Your Task. Using the Web, locate an external blog or weblog that is maintained by a company where you would like to work. Monitor the blog for at least a week. Also, access the company's Facebook page, LinkedIn page and monitor its Twitter feeds and Information posted for at least a week. Prepare a short report that summarizes what you learned about the company through reading the blog postings, status updates, and tweets. Include a statement of whether this information would be valuable to you during your job search. The external blog is often used to announce new products and services, to explain and clarify policies, or to react to public comments or criticism about certain issues.
