    Task 2

This task must be conducted as a role play. You will require one volunteer to play the role of James Smith, Bakers Caf Supervisor.

Ensure that you provide your volunteer with the Task 2 - James Smith Character Brief prior to commencing the role play.

You are required to video record the role play between yourself and James Smith. Save the recording for submission at the end of this project.

You are required to complete the Risk Identification Register during this role play.

    Scenario:

Following your correspondence with Margaret, you have received permission to travel to the Toowoomba store to research risks that may apply to the project. Margaret has cleared it with James Smith, the current senior supervisor at Bakers Caf.

You arrived at the Caf and noted the two hours drive time that it took to get there from the CBD of Brisbane. The long drive time from Toowoomba to Brisbane would make attending the weekly managers meeting difficult considering many meetings did not finish until into the evening after refreshments. There are also manager training sessions that need to be completed over the next six months with a few other managers. Navagating the steep narrow climb up the range with trucks blocking the way is quite difficult even in daylight hours. Being a competent driver you feel that it would be unlikely that you would have involved in an accident, but it still concerns you considerably.

    1. Conduct a meeting with James to brainstorm and identify any additional risks that could impact on areas such as human resources management, financial operations, WHS, the local governance and overall compliance.

Record the risks in the Risk Identification Register template provided.

Save a copy of the Risk Identification Register to PDF. Upload it in the space provided below.

Save a copy of the video recording for submission. You will be required to share the video recording via Dropbox. Your trainer/assessor will review the video recording and assess you based on the Task 2 Observation Checklist.
