Review their general categories of products, the number of product lines for each, and the depth of the product lines.
While understanding that a large product mix reduces risk, it also can become unwieldy and cause a company to lose focus.
Give you critique of Unilever's mix. Should they be active in as many categories as they are? Is there a new category you'd recommend? Within categories, do they have a reasonable number of product lines or are they too broad or narrow? Do they have sufficient depth in their product lines or too little/too much? Do they have too many brands and should some be dropped or consolidated?
