Project Identifier Project Name: EAMS (employee attendance management system) Project Description: The EAMS (employee attendance management system) needs to be developed for the organization. Following all employees are required to sign in and sign out using the bio- metric devices (using thumb print or retina scan). The Bio Metric scan, needs to capture thefinger print and retina image and match it with database to identify the employee and markits sign-in or sign-out by capturing the time-stamp (accurate to the milli-second) at whichthe employee used the bio-metric device. The time stamp information is sensitive therefore, enough security and encryption standards should be designed to ensure the security of thedata at rest and in-transit (From device to server). The bio-metric device should have a Web-based GUI, to which only administrator shouldhave access to.
