Project Instructions:

Each team will identify a relevant business process that can be improved, accelerated, or automated via the application of an Artificial Intelligence $($AI$)$ tool or technique. The chosen process can be drawn from a specific business discipline or industry that fits the interest or experience of the team members.

With the business process selected and the potential improvement or automation identified, the team will research and identify $-$ possibly through trial and error $-$ the best publicly available $($no subscription fee required$)$ AI tool to implement the proposed process improvement.

The team will then use the chosen AI tool to implement the identified process improvement. Depending on the nature of the selected process, the team can do this with actual process data or with sample data generated by the team for this project. More trial and error may be necessary here. The team should document its prompts, responses, and AI conversations for use in the project deliverables that are described below.

After confirming the viability of the chosen AI tool for the specific process application, the team will identify the most useful publicly$-$available video presentation on the use of the selected AI tool for the type of task chosen by the team. A link to the chosen video, and an overview of the content of the video, will be used in the project deliverables.

The team will prepare the chosen data and$/$or data source to be documented in the deliverables, and will then practice and prepare to execute a live demonstration of the chosen AI tool for the selected process improvement or process automation task. The team will demonstrate the use of the AI tool on the selected data source or data set during the live in$-$class presentation described below.

Project Deliverables:

After identifying the business process to be studied and the AI toll to be used, each team will collaborate to provide two deliverables that will determine the team grade for this project: an original research paper and a live presentation to the class.

The original research paper will present the results of the team's research on the selected tonic.
