PROJECT MANAGEMENT QUESTION

Consider the case study below and then identify an appropriate Agile Project Management method for the client.

Jim Smith is the CEO of a small sock manufacturing company. Jim's company, Argyle Socks Inc., would like to create an E-commerce site. He thinks the site should be like most E-Commerce sites where visitors can view merchandise, choose items and place them into a cart, and then checkout and pay for the items.

But Jim would like the site to have some new and interesting features. Jim would like customers to be able to upload a picture of themselves and to enter information about their favorite colors, their style of dress etc. Jim would then like the e-commerce site to recommend socks from their inventory based on this information. This 'recommender' part of the site would use a picture of the customer and would overlay the picture with various fashions including argyle socks from Jim's company's inventory. Jim feels this innovative feature would help increase sales for the company.

Another feature Jim would like to see would be accessibility to the site from within other e-commerce sites such as Amazon but he does not know exactly how that will work.

Jim would like one project management solution and ultimately a contract from your company. He has staff available to work with any PM team and he will make himself available to the PM team if needed. This resulting system and the project management solution would encompass all of the features and functions he has identified.

Consider that the system can be divided into subsystems with each subsystem involving a set of features and functions Jim would like to see in the final product. Each subsystem could be developed with a separate project.
