Please make sure to choose a business whose operations you can clearly observe in an unobtrusive way. (Examples: Shops, restaurants, etc.). It can be a company you work for. Please get prior approval from your Projessor before proceeding. 2. In the introduction to the report include name of the company, background, the date of observation and the hours of observation (you can use the Intemet for gathering background information about the company). (1/2 page) 3. Identify the key process including the inputs and outputs as well as the supply chain. A diagram would be helpful here. (1/2 page). 4. Using Chapters 2-20 as a guide, make an assessment of the operations you are able to observe. From the chapters listed below choose 5. Write about 2-3 paragraphs on each of the chapters you are covering (Please make sure you clearly indicate which chapters you are choosing. For example some chapters like Chap. 12: Location you could suppose what processes they went through and the criteria they followed to choose their site and whether it was a good choice and why. If some information from the Internet is helpful, go ahead and include it. 5. State any general conclusions including your assessments and recommendations. (1/2-1 page) 6. Identify the person you will conduct a short interview with (manager) and give a brief indication of their title and responsibilities. 7.
