PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

The group will work on a Proposed BA Project based on one business organization and then will evaluate its performance. The group may select any business organization of their choice, will gather pertinent data, and perform the following requirements:

CONTENTS:

I. Purpose and Nature of the Project

To state what the proposed project is expected to accomplish in terms of the business analytics context:

A. The particular issue or problem to be addressed, including the areas of business strategy or operations, challenges encountered in previous efforts to resolve (if any) (5 marks)

B. The importance of the proposed project and anticipated impact (monetary (e.g. CBA, ROI) or non-monetary(qualitative impact) as well as actions that may be taken as outcomes of the project. (5 marks)

C. The technical requirements of the team (i.e. any specific programming languages or software tools to be used) (5 marks)

D. The specific timeline and key dates. (5 marks)

II. Data Requirements and Access

An organizational sample datasets must be prepared to be used in simulation fordata preparation (5 marks), pre-processing (5 marks), analysis (5 marks), and assessment. (5 marks).

III. BA Project Methodology & Simulation

Identify and select one BA model, tool, method and technique. Using the gathered dataset/s, simulate the following applications on:

A. Descriptive Analytics (may select at least one application) (15 marks)

B. Predictive Analytics (may select at least one application) (15 marks)

IV. Project Performance Evaluation Result

A. Present a Performance Evaluation Report based on the performed processes in I-III. (10 marks)

B. Discuss in detail the derived performance evaluation results. (10 marks)
