However, the ten calendar day limit does not apply to grievances related to specific benefits such as salary, vacation leave, sick leave, etc., where the company is alleged to have failed to apply them. For such cases, the time limit is extended to one year from the date of the alleged infraction. Any retroactive pay required will be effective from the date of the infraction or April whichever is more recent.

b Employees affected by wage reductions shall have the option to apply for higher classified positions within the organization, maintaining their current salary if qualified and selected for such positions.
