JOB PURPOSE:
Provide administrative support services in the Athletic Department by supporting the Athletic
Director (AD) and aiding and assisting with organizing and preparing correspondence, reports and
other documentation. Position also is responsible for helping the AD with scheduling meetings
and events; file maintenance, and related administrative activities.
IMPACT & INFLUENCE:
This position will interact on a daily basis with the AD, Assistant Athletic Director (AAD) and
their staff, as well as vendors and office visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Compose correspondence as requested by AD
Compile and organize student worker time reports, game attendance reports and budget
reports as requested by AD.
Schedule and make arrangements for coaches and teaching staff meetings and other events.
Make travel arrangements for AD and AAD and their staff as directed.
Maintain office supplies inventory.
Receive and refer phone calls; greet and direct office visitors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
High School, GED or Vocational School Diploma required for this position; Associates degree
preferred. Three to four years of related work experience desired.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
This job requires skills in general office administration to include document preparation and
processing, records management, event planning and organization. Skill in basic and advanced
office related computer applications is required.
