Many of the people interviewed expressed how the pandemic caused big disturbances in their work. From things like layoffs, transitioning to remote work, increased levels of stress, mental fatigue, and a general increase in challenges were things that the interviewees expressed as difficulties resulting from the pandemic. Another pattern that I noticed was that workers were not satisfied with wages and benefits (or lack of) from their employers. Many of the shift workers interviewed discussed a lack of benefits, things like 401K's, health insurance, and sick or vacation time. With low wages and a lack of benefits it makes a job much less secure. All these can cause stress, resentment, and low level of job satisfaction
