PTC CREO PARAMETRIC GENERAL QUESTION: Dont answer unless you know please,

I made an assembly out of 8 parts. The assembly was completed and was saved. I tried to reopen the assembly and it gave an error message saying: the model failed to regenerate. I would like to know how to fix this. I still have all the parts. Thank you.
