When preparing written academic assignments and structured projects I always create outlines. Creating outlines assists me in structuring my arguments while maintaining focus and logical flow throughout my writing. With outlines I am able to determine key points and supporting evidence before beginning to draft which streamlines my writing process. Future assignments would benefit from the use of sentence outlines. This outline format requires full sentences which enables me to explore ideas thoroughly and refine language during initial planning. Creating a sentence outline will enable me to find weak arguments and logical gaps before starting the full draft.
