Purpose: Familiarize yourself with the current events $($within the last $12$ months$)$ of Human Resources Management or Performance Management. It is important to be aware of the current issues and events around us$,$ be it in our local, provincial, national, and international communities.

This assignment is geared to make you more interested and curious in such current affairs and look at such events through an analytical lens finding the connection of the news$/$topic to a specific human resources$/$performance management concept from the course. You will use your critical thinking skills to connect what you read with the course content and how you might be able to utilize this learning in your future career.

You will select, explain, analyze a news$-$worthy relevant events.

Assignment: Select $4$ articles from journal publications, newspapers and $/$ or business magazines. These are to be reputable journals or publications $-$ the GBC online library is a great resource for this. The articles are not to be random articles $($e$.$g blogs, opinion pieces, sponsored or paid advertisements for professional services, etc$).$

Your paper should include:

Title page with your full name and student number

Table of Contents

Page numbers

For each of the $4$ articles, provide the following structure within your paper:

Header to separate each individual article.

Paragraph $1*$: Summary of the individual article

Paragraph $2*$: Explanation of the individual article's relevance and importance to the field of Human Resources and or Performance Management

Paragraph $3*$: Share how the topic relates to the content in our course$/$textbook by providing a recommendation OR specifically share what you learned from the article and how it will help you in your career to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of what you read
