Purpose: This project will help you to create a 20-year plan containing SMART goals you want to achieve in your career.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this project, the students will be able to:

• Reflect on their own workforce readiness.
• Describe workforce trends in industries you are interested in, and evaluate various career paths.
• Describe steps needed to achieve your SMART career goals in the short, medium, and long term (20 years).

• 1.1 Visualize yourself professionally 20 years from now.
• 1.2 Think of a job title in an industry you would want to see yourself in 20 years.
• 1.3 Go to O*NET Online and search for your dream job title under 'Occupation Quick Search! For example, if you want to be a Controller of a Fortune 500 company in 20 years, you should type 'Controller' in the quick search box (see picture -> ). This search will give you a list of job titles related to your search.
• 1.4 Select your desired job title. In this example, you can select, 'Treasurers and Controllers' The resulting site will provide information about tasks, technology skills, tools used by people in this profession, knowledge, skills, abilities, work activities, wages and employment, and outlook of this profession.

• Step 2: Your SMART Career Goal
• SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
• Each element of the SMART framework works together to create a goal that is carefully planned, clear and trackable. Goal setting is a helpful way to build the career you want. By setting objectives and creating a clear roadmap for how you'll reach your intended target, you can decide how to apply your time and resources to make progress. • 2.1 Specific (1 point): Using the research conducted from Step 1, write exactly what you want to accomplish in 20 years? Use as much detail as possible. (Minimum 100 words. 1 point)
• 2.2 Measurable (1 point )
