Q2) Perform slope stability analysis for self-weight as well as axle loading conditions for the relevant slopes shown in the figure below. Axle load value to be considered is 32.5 tonne. The material properties for different layers are summarized in Table 2. The subgrade depth is to be considered as 10m with 5m lying below the sub-ballast. The toe of the sub-ballast layer is placed at a distance of 3000mm from the bottom tip of the natural subgrade on either side. The rail, sleeper, ballast and sub-ballast dimensions can be considered the same as the previous question. The prepared subgrade is not to be considered in the present question. Comment on the results and elaborate on any one ground improvement technique each which is a) suitable b) not suitable for further stabilising the slopes along with valid reason. Any missing property can be suitably assumed with appropriate references.
