Question: Q 3 ( 1 5 Marks ) An open gas turbine power plant is operated between minimum and maximum cycle temperatures are 2 5 C

Q3(15 Marks)
An open gas turbine power plant is operated between minimum and maximum cycle temperatures are 25C and 1250C. The compression ratio of each compressor is 3. Assume the ambient pressure is 1 bar. Compression is carried out in two stages with perfect intercooling (T3=T1). The gases coming out from HP, turbine are heated to 1250CT8 before entering L.P. turbine. The expansions in both turbines are arranged in such a way that each stage develops same power. Assuming compressors and turbines isentropic efficiencies as 83%,
