a) On separate diagrams, illustrate five (5) possible fracture patterns that can be considered in the analysis of this structural assembly.
b) Calculate the design tensile resistance of the bar assuming A572 Gr 50 plates are used.
c) Discuss qualitatively how the structural assembly would be affected if the A572 Gr 50 plates were substituted for A36 plates.
