Q6 Design Problem (20')
Design a circuit to store the state of a switch when a normally open (signal normally low) button is first pressed down and increment a counter when the button is released, if the switch was down (high) when the button was first pressed. Assume that the button and switch are bounce free. Use readily available ICs (logic, flip-flops, one-shot, counter, etc.) and specify their numbers on your schematic.
Requirements:
(1) Maximum number of counts is 99(suppose we use decade counter);
(2) Display the count value on 7-segment displays;
(3) The counter value shall be cleared either when there is an over flow or manually.
Hint: Three steps to solve the problem:
(1) Store the status of the switch only when the button is just being pressed;
(2) If the stored switch status is high and the button is being released, then increment the count by one.
(3) Counter value can be reset.
Please draw the schematic for me to understand! Thanks
