So first I figured out the total amount of 5 digit numbers. 9x10x10x10x10= 90,000

I want to solve this the indirect way so to do that i need to figure out the amount of 5 digit numbers that do not include a 4 or 6 then subtract that answer from 90,000 to get the amount that does include a 4 or 6. Problem is that I'm not sure how to figure out the amount of numbers that DO NOT include 4 or 6 or both. Can someone please explain this
