QUALITATIVE - Answer EXACTLY two qualitative questions (35 points each)

Consider the 7 six sigma analytical tools spoken of in chapter 10. Suggest one of these tools for each of the following cases. Why does this tool fit the case?

1. Borch runs a machine in a factory. He produces identical parts throughout the day. The customer is most concerned about a certain key measurement and whether the machine is consistently producing parts. At times, the machine produces parts that vary from specifications due to specific causes (such as a worn tool). At other times, there is simply random variation from part to part. Borc wants to empower his workers to manage their own quality.
2. Jones manages a pizza delivery restaurant. He is concerned because customers frequently are receiving their pizzas late. Jones wonders what the reasons for these late deliveries are. She thinks that some combination of people, method, food ingredients or equipment may be the reason.
3. Sally works for a hotel. Everyday her staff prepares clean. However, there are recurring errors seemingly a laundry list of problems such bathroom not cleaned, room not vacuumed, dust on the furniture and the like. She wants to bring a prioritized list of iissues to her weekly staff meeting and wants to be able to highlight how often each issue is occurring.
