You will review the manufacturing operation situation, apply X(bar) and R control charts, interpret the initial results, remove assignable causes, collect additional samples, determine new control points, plot revised chart, look for statistical signals & tests for control chart interpretation that have been violated. Diagnose the causes for the behavior reflected on the revised chart using Cause & Effect diagram. Collect & plot additional samples to ascertain no statistical signals are apparent and to confirm the effectiveness of corrective actions. 3. A written report and a power point presentation is required. Submit both hard & soft copies for evaluation.
