Question 2. A manufacturing engineer has studied the effect of cutting speed

Question 2. A manufacturing engineer has studied the effect of cutting speed (B), feed rate (C) and depth of cut (A) on the surface finish of a machined component of AISI 1050 steel using a three-level of design. Sintered carbide cutting tools are used for machining tests. All the three factors were studied at three-levels each. The surface roughness measurements (microns) from two replications are given in Table 2 (A-70-120-160 m/min, B=0.08-0.12-0.20 mm/rev. and C-2-4-8mm). The data is given in Table 2. Analyse using ANOVA and identify optimal levels for the factors. Donot forget that the objective is to minimize the response. Table 2. Experimental plan, and the data obtained using the given cutting tool/specimen. Trial no.
