In the 1984 master plan, the area was zoned mixed use (commercial-residential). Huat and Co continued to use the warehouse for storage until their CBD projects were completed in the early 905. They decided to sell the land to a foreign company, Property International Pte Ltd. (PIPL). The two parties proceeded to register the transaction at the Land Titles Registry.
