The process will involve the use of the following key operating units and their estimated purchase costs an absorption column at 60000 pounds, Dry Electrostatic Precipitator at 55000 pounds, Wet Electrostatic Precipitator at 50000 pounds and the Hydrocyclones at 40000. The other costs are services costs estimated at Oxygen 200000 m/ hr at 5 per 1000 m3 Cooling Water 50000 Kg/ hr at 3 pounds per 1000 Kg Electricity power 100 Kwh/day (360 MJ/day) at 2.5 pounds per 1MJ The plant attainment is 90 percent, estimate the total investment and the operating costs for this project if only the following costs are to be incurred i.e labour cost 30 % of Insurance 3 %, Tax 10 %, Loyalty 8.7% of the fixed capital and conclude whether it is viable or not.
