You have been asked by a high ranking government official to submit a proposal to set up a Forensic Service. Prepare your proposal, commenting on issues such as: Why the service is needed. Who do you intend to employ - will these be on a full time or case-by-case basis? Who should fund the service? Are there any opportunities to generate income streams? How do you propose that the various members of your team work together? Which profession, if any, will become the head of the service and why? Please note this is not an exhaustive list of the areas you should cover, but merely a starting point to get you thinking.

You can decide on the nature and extent of the service(s) you propose to provide. It does not necessarily need to be an all-encompassing service; you may wish to choose to specialise in one or a few particular discipline(s). You can propose a novel or newly-emerging discipline/technique for your service or you can propose the establishment of existing services in a new location. In all cases you should justify why the service is needed in the given circumstances.
