Organisation 1: Early DaysLtd,-a manufacturing organisation producing a wide range ofbaby andinfant foods. These aresold throughout thecountry in retail outlets, and promoted through clinics and community centres. Theorganisation ishavingcomplaints from customers relating to the foods purchased from some of the outlying retail outlets. Some of the packaging is damaged causing the contents to be spoilt, while others are expired on the retail shelves.They are looking for a quality management system that will address the quality problem from the supplier through to the end user.

Organisation 2: Fix-itElectronics; an engineering organisation supplying electrical equipment and parts, such as inverters and water purifiers, for household and industrial use. In other cases the components brought in as spares do not fit on the existing equipment with their customers.

Due to competition from international companiesimporting different types ofmotorbikesinto the country the organisationsisfinding challenges in getting the customers totrytheir products.
