QUESTION
Strictly Using Excel ( Avail Steps and formulae) and label work respectively
The following table shows sample data for the number of motor registration and the number of tyres sold in a certain territory for the same period.
| Year | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| Motor Registration | 600 | 630 | 720 | 750 | 800 |
| No of Tyres Sold | 1250 | 1100 | 1300 | 1350 | 1500 |
Using the above data and analysis using Excel, do the following;
(i) Compute the correlation coefficient between motor registration and sale of motor tyres. Explain your results
(ii) Obtain a scatter diagram of motor registration and sale of motor tyres for the territory
(iii) Find the least-squares estimates for the regression line = 0 + 1 using the Excel SLOPE and INTERCEPT functions.
(iv) Carry out the analysis using Excels built-in regression tool
(v) Fit a regression equation of the form = 0 + 1 to this data. Interpret your results in the context of the problem.
