Review each of these work steps and then determine which of the five attributes of a finding- condition, criteria, cause, effect, and recommendationthe work step is addressing. Write the attribute next to the work step. Correct responses follow the exercise. Review Step Attribute 1. Determine authority as to requisition and purchase items. 2. Analyze whether anyone exceeded that authority. 3. Determine what the goals are for Equipment Maintenance (e.g., to keep equipment functioning at the least cost without unnecessary equipment down time). 4. Determine policy as to how much of each item to maintain in inventory. 5. Determine how much of each item needs to be in stock and any overages from that quantity. 6. Calculate cost savings from inventory reductions to more reasonable levels, including any items that need to be increased. 7.
