Step 2: Available Resources Assessment Monetary_Support Funding will be provided through grants obtained from the National Institute of Health (NIH) to conduct one (1) cardiac health screen consisting of one heart wellness program as well as one (1) counseling session to promote healthy eating, weight control (by exercise) and proper utilization of health services. Staffing Paid staff will consist of one (1) Program Director with a least a master's degree in Public Health with specialized training in chronic diseases, and three (3) support staff including one (1) licensed dietician, one (1) medical staff, one (1) clerical staff and one (1) Fitness Instructor. Medical staff must be trained in cardiac health assessment as well as exercise routines. Support staff will be recruited from the Hispanic and Latino community to assist throughout the entire program. Other staff includes contract workers such as graphic designers and website builders. The Program Director will be paid to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and be in charge of implementing and developing the program. The support staff will be paid to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, and clerical staff will be paid for 20 hours per week. Volunteers will be required to work at least four hours per session. Prepare materials The program will have access to a room at the community centers based around Louisiana free of charge. Office supplies will be bought with grant funds and donations, laptops and a projector will be ordered through grant money. Educational Materials Educational materials will be printed in both English and Spanish and consist of pamphlets, brochures, and flyers. The Program Director will develop all educational materials, and copies will be made by the clerical staff. Audio-visual marketing will be funded through grants
