Question:
Jax is a happy baby, who smiles at everyone who comes into the classroom. He can often be found on a teacher's hip, as he is very loveable. Jax has no language. He has had his hearing tested, and appears to be fine. He does look when people are talking, and responds to his name, but does not show any sort of understanding when asked questions (where's the ball, where's your tummy, are you hungry, etc).
At small group time, the teachers enjoy reading to the infants in their classroom, but Jax shows no interest. Even when read to individually, he crawls away to seek out a toy with wheels.
Jax is just beginning to stand and needs to be supported by a teacher. He cannot squat down to retrieve a toy while standing, as he will fall over.
Jax rarely attempts to feed himself. If food is placed in front of him, he will explore the food with his hands but doesn't often put anything in his mouth. Jax is just learning how to tip a cup up in order to get something to drink out of it. He most often shakes his cup and tips it upside down.
