Sometimes it can be challenging for one to manage juggling from their work and still concentrate on writing a good business plan. Another advantage is that consultants are experienced in their work. Their delivered documents are made precise, simple and easy to understand. This is because they use charts and diagrams to give the exact details required and appeal to them.

As much as it's a good idea to hire a consultant, some disadvantages should be considered. For instance, having an external consultant doing the work is more expensive than doing it yourself. One has to consider the financial risk to take and if it's worth it (Zawawi, 2019)). Another disadvantage is that the consultants' services are uncertain, and one may end up getting the results he did not expect. This is because consultants are only trained to the formal business plan and may prove challenging to customize it into one's personal preferences.
