As COVID-19 vaccines from Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, etc. have become widely available, many hospitals and clinics in Vietnam are asking and requiring their front-line employees to get vaccinated. Yet, despite the dangerous nature of their jobs, many employees are still weighing the risks and are reluctant to get the shots. They think that the shots have been developed too fast. They have kinds of theories on the vaccines' little side effects and want to wait and see how it works on others. This situation and mindsets must be changed. As Chair of Bach Mai Hospital, a leading comprehensive general hospital which provides medical services at the highest level of the Vietnamese healthcare system, write a memo to all staff persuading them to get immunized to improve employee vaccination rate among health care providers.

Be prepared to address all the concerns of the staff, offer incentives if necessary.

Communicate clearly to help them understand how vaccinations will make for a safer workplace and more efficient workforce.
